Pigmentation is one of the most common reasons clients book skin consultations at Evolution Laser Clinic. From sun exposure and post-acne marks to hormonal changes, uneven skin tone can appear for many different reasons and that’s exactly why choosing the right peel matters.

At Evolution Laser Clinic, chemical peels are not one-size-fits-all. Each peel is selected based on your skin type, sensitivity, lifestyle, and the cause of your pigmentation. In this guide, we explain how our professional peels work and how to determine which option may be suitable for you.

What Is a Chemical Peel?

A chemical peel is a professional skin treatment designed to exfoliate and renew the skin in a controlled way. By encouraging the removal of damaged surface cells, peels help improve clarity, texture, and overall tone.

At Evolution Laser Clinic, our peel treatments range from gentle, no-downtime options to more intensive resurfacing peels. Many of our peels are paired with customised vitamin infusions and evolveMD skincare to support skin recovery and long-term results.

How Do Chemical Peels Help with Pigmentation?

Pigmentation often sits in the upper layers of the skin, particularly when caused by sun exposure. Chemical peels help by accelerating skin renewal, allowing pigmented cells to shed more evenly over time.

Rather than aggressively stripping the skin, our pigment-focused peels are designed to work gradually and safely. This approach helps reduce the risk of rebound pigmentation while supporting healthier skin function.

Which Chemical Peels Does Evolution Laser Clinic Use for Pigmentation?

At Evolution Laser Clinic, we treat pigmentation based on skin behaviour, pigment type, and tolerance, not just the appearance of dark spots. While our Pigment Peel is the most targeted option, other peels may be recommended depending on how your skin responds and what underlying concerns are present.

Pigment Peel For Uneven Tone & Discolouration

Best suited for:
Sun-related pigmentation, post-inflammatory pigmentation, uneven skin tone

Our Pigment Peel is specifically designed to gently reduce the appearance of superficial pigmentation and support a more even-looking complexion. This peel is formulated with lactic acid and peptides, which work progressively to encourage skin renewal and help reduce excess pigment over time.

The Pigment Peel does not involve downtime and is suitable for clients seeking gradual, low-risk pigment correction. An additional mask may be recommended during consultation and selected as an optional add-on to further support skin comfort and results. This peel is typically performed monthly as part of a structured skin plan.

Probiotic Green Peel For Superficial Pigmentation & Skin Sensitivity

Best suited for:
Mild pigmentation, uneven texture, dull or dehydrated skin

The Probiotic Green Peel is a gentle botanical resurfacing treatment that helps brighten the skin while supporting barrier health. Formulated with lactic acid, fruit enzymes, Australian botanicals, and probiotic ferment, it targets superficial pigmentation while maintaining hydration and balance.

This peel is ideal for clients who may not tolerate stronger pigment-focused treatments or who require a supportive approach alongside other therapies. It is generally performed every 4–6 weeks and includes a calming BioGreen Mask to aid recovery.

Instant Glow Peel For Dull Skin & Surface Discolouration

Best suited for:
Early pigmentation prevention, uneven texture, congestion

The Instant Glow Peel is a mild enzyme-based exfoliation suitable for all skin types. While not a targeted pigment peel, it helps improve surface clarity and brightness by removing dead skin build-up and decongesting pores.

A custom Vitamin A infusion is applied post-peel to address individual skin concerns. This peel is often used as an entry-level treatment or as part of a broader skin plan and can be performed every two weeks.

Ultimate Peel For Established Pigmentation & Sun Damage

Best suited for:
More stubborn pigmentation, sun damage, textural concerns

The Ultimate Peel is our most intensive peel option and induces visible superficial peeling over several days. It penetrates deeper layers of the skin to address pigmentation alongside acne scarring, sun damage, and uneven texture.

Because of its strength, careful preparation and aftercare are essential. This peel is recommended selectively following consultation and is generally performed up to four times per year.

Acne Peel For Pigmentation Related to Breakouts

Best suited for:
Post-acne pigmentation, congestion, oily or acne-prone skin

Pigmentation that develops after acne often requires a different approach. Our Acne Peel is designed to combat active breakouts while also helping improve the appearance of post-acne marks.
Using a combination of anti-inflammatory exfoliants and antibacterial ingredients, this peel helps clear congestion and reduce inflammation. After the peel, our skin therapists apply a customised acne infusion using skin-correcting boosters, delivering key nutrients to support healing and reduce redness.

This peel can be performed every four weeks and is often recommended for clients whose pigmentation is linked to ongoing breakouts or congestion.

Why Consultation Matters for Pigmentation Peels

Not all pigmentation responds the same way to treatment. Hormonal pigmentation, such as melasma, can be unpredictable and may worsen if treated too aggressively. This is why chemical peels for pigmentation should always be selected following professional assessment.

At Evolution Laser Clinic, your consultation allows us to determine:

  • The type and depth of pigmentation
  • Your skin’s tolerance and sensitivity
  • Whether a peel is appropriate or if alternative treatments should be considered
