What are the benefits?

At Evolution Laser Clinic, our aim is to assist in hydrating areas such as the lips using specialised filler. The dermal fillers used contain hyaluronic acid, which is a naturally occurring sugar found in the human body, helping to keep our skin hydrated.

What are my options?

Different areas of the face require a specific type of dermal filler, depending on the outcome, to ensure longevity is achieved. In an area such as the lips, a product with a thinner consistency is our recommendation to ensure your result is complimentary.

How does it work?

Lip filler injections are suspended in a pliable hyaluronic acid gel, a natural sugar our bodies produce to keep our skin hydrated. The hyaluronic acid injections add hydration under the surface of your lips.

Post care

To ensure you have the longest-lasting results with the fewest side effects, there are a few simple aftercare instructions:

• Remain upright for six hours to ensure correct dispersion of the treatment
• Do not rub the injection site
• Avoid makeup for 12 hours
• Avoid excessive sun exposure; this includes sun baking, for 2 weeks
• Avoid UV lights, freezing temperatures, saunas or Turkish baths for 2 weeks

Frequently Asked Questions

Do lip fillers or injections hurt?

We do everything we can to keep you comfortable throughout your entire session. Many dermal filler injections have a topical anaesthetic in their solution so the treatment becomes easier as it progresses.

Can you get lip enhancement fillers when pregnant?

To avoid potential issues, the team at Evolution Laser suggests bypassing lip filler injections while pregnant.

How often should I get lip filler?

The duration between your lip filler injections usually depends on the kind of treatment you select and the filler used. While it depends on various factors, including your lifestyle, metabolism, age, and skin type, most dermal lip fillers last between three to six months. We recommend discussing this with your cosmetic injector at your first consultation.

How old do you have to be to get lip fillers in Sydney?

We do not offer lip fillers or other cosmetic injectables to anyone below the age of 18. However, we have a list of age-friendly skin treatments you can opt for instead

What is the downtime period for lip fillers?

Your cosmetic practitioner will ensure that you receive appropriate post-care instructions for your lip filler treatment so you can go about your daily routine with no trouble.

In the 48 hours post-your lip filler treatment, you may notice signs of slight swelling, tenderness and bruising. Applying ice to the treated area will help combat the symptoms. As part of your lip filler injection aftercare, we suggest you avoid wearing makeup for at least 12 hours and steer clear of harsh scrubs and skincare products such as Retinol and Vitamin C. You should also avoid excessive exposure to sunlight and saunas for at least two weeks.

How much will it cost me to get lip fillers in Sydney?

At Evolution Laser, our prices vary depending on the area and how much product is required. Our qualified registered nurses advise the total cost prior to your treatment. They will take you through the prices of dermal fillers in Sydney before determining the appropriate treatment plan and the dosage needed to achieve desired results.

Can I receive any vaccinations after my medical procedure?

All vaccinations are not recommended 2 weeks prior or within 2 weeks of your treatment.
