Our anti-wrinkle treatments aim to restore and increase the supportive structures of the skin that degenerate as we age.  Collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid can be enhanced and stimulated by performing the following corrective treatments:

• Anti-Wrinkle Injections - injections of a muscle relaxant derived from bacteria, requires no downtime
• Dermal Fillers - injections of stabilised hyaluronic acid requiring 2-3 days downtime
• DermaPen Collagen Induction Therapy - a non laser treatment that perforates the skin to induce the production of collagen and elastin, requires 2-3 days downtime
• Fraxel re:fine - fractional laser that stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, and corrects various skin concerns, requires one to two days downtime
• Fraxel re:store - fractional laser that stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, that stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, and corrects various skin concerns, requires four to five days downtime
• RevLite Laser - Q-switched Nd:YAG laser that stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, and corrects various skin concerns, requires no downtime
• Thermage - radio frequency technology that safely heats the deep layers of the skin stimulating the production of collagen, requires one to two days downtime

The treatment that will best suit your needs will depend on your age, your life style and the type of wrinkles you need to treat.  “Dynamic” wrinkles are caused by the contraction of facial muscles attached to the overlying skin.  As we make everyday facial expressions these muscle contractions cause the skin to bunch together, temporarily forming lines.  As our collagen and elastin degrades these dynamic wrinkles become more prominent and eventually become permanent.  Fraxel, laser, or skin needling can be used to increase the amount of collagen and elastin in the skin diminishing the appearance of wrinkles, or anti-wrinkle injections can be used to temporarily decrease muscle action preventing wrinkle formation.

“Static” wrinkles are due to a lack of elasticity in the skin caused from sun damage, smoking, genetics, poor nutrition, or prolonged dynamic wrinkling.  Static wrinkles are visible even when the muscles are not contracting.  These wrinkles are deeper and well established and respond best to anti-wrinkle injections and dermal fillers.
